What is sitting in silence?
by Linda Lee Sheldon on 02/13/13
Sitting in silence is the practice of quieting the mind and listening. Sometimes referred to as a form of meditation, sitting in silence is directing our attention away from those thousands of thoughts that come into our mind and stepping into a quiet state of peace. It is not a religion ... but the practice of sitting in silence is found in all religions. It is a very powerful way of calming the body, reducing stress, and connecting with the Wisdom all around us.
