March Word of the Month - Emergence
by Linda Lee Sheldon on 03/02/15
Spring is my favorite time of year. It's a time when new sprouts begin to poke their heads out of the earth and flowers begin to form. Spring arrives in the Northern Hemisphere on March 20th at 3:45 pm PST.
In honor of the new beginnings the word this month is Emergence - The process of coming into view after being concealed. The process of coming into being.
When we think of emergence words like surfacing, appearance, materialization and coming out come to mind. But there's more to that little sprout or flower bud than meets the eye! That new little plant is the result of a seed that lived underground, nourished by the Earth, sprouting roots, developing personality and character. It welcomes the warmth and emerges into the open to drink in the fresh air and sunshine. As it grows it grows and gains strength and the flower buds begin to appear. It ventures into the world to share beauty and joy!
Like that little plant that emerges from the earth and goes on to create flower buds, we too experience similar cycles. During the winter months we go within, reflecting and recharging. It may be that the weather keeps us indoors or just the cycle of our emotions. Now it's our time to plant the seeds of intention for the Springtime emergence of our desires.
What would you like to emerge forth from you or in your life? Now is the time to plant those seeds and nurture them. It might be something material, something physical or health-related, or something you want to share with the world.
Bring the thought of your desire into your mind. Imagine it being part of your reality. Start talking or writing about it. Love yourself enough to permit yourself to have it. Recognize that you deserve it. Take action to achieve it by shifting into the emotional state of what it would be like to have it. Watch it manifest in your life.
Remember to add statements like "easily and effortlessly" and "this or something better." Allow yourself to move in harmony with Nature like the plants. They don't worry about what they look like or what others think. They just burst forth in all their glory!
Emergence is manifestation - abundantly and beautifully in alignment with our desires. Plant your seeds of desire and enjoy your emergence into new possibilities!
